Although I didn’t appreciate it fully in high school, this book became a favorite read after living in the NYC area a couple of years. It sure is odd that some Japanese video game executive thought it a good to make a platform scroller out of it. I wonder how the pitch meeting went: “Picture this: Megaman. Gangsters. Literary clout. GATSBY!”
